In order to secure af sustainable business focus we act according to different polices. All policies are combined with targets, KPIs, on which we measure, monitor and analyze our activities and progress on an ongoing basis.

Environmental and climate policy
- as a global company we are aware of our environmental responsibilty

We contiuously develop our environmental awareness and promote sustainability across our business operations. We are aware of our responsibility towards the environment in generel and particularly to the use of marine resources.

Therefore we have implemented practices in order to comply with regulations regarding sustainability stipulated by FAO and ICES. TripleNine is also member of the IFFO and we consistently seek to operate in accordance with the principles of the MarinTrust Certification.

In order to meet our objectives we:

  • Seek to minimise our environmental impact, reduce emissions to air and water and protect marine resources through a constant focus on sustainable sourcing and sustainable fishing.
  • Will work to enhance our performance through a focus on using marine resources in a responsible and efficient way.
  • Will on a continuous basis seek information on new relevant environmental friendly and more effective technologies that can replace existing technologies.

  • Will continue to integrate environmental considerations in our business practice by setting ambitious targets for ensuring the sustainability of our operations.
  • Will promote staff awareness on energy consumption and environmental issues through information, internal training and education.

Product policy
- we consider social and environmental impacts when we develop and produce our products

As one of the largest manufacturers of fishmeal and fish oil in the world, we have great responsibility to ensure the safety and quality of our products.

The resources used in our products originate from the seas all over the world with a particular focus on sourcing from areas where there is a natural and abundant occurence of raw produce.

In order to meet our objectives we:

  • Always work to secure safe products, processes and services.
  • Respect and comply with the regulations stipulated by FAO and as a responsible member of IFFO (The Marine Ingredients Organisation), TripleNine consistently operates in accordance with the principles of the MarinTrust certification wherever we are actively involved.
  • Seek to be at the cutting edge of the technological development within the industry. Therefore we consider social and environmental impacts when we develop and produce our products.

Employee policy

We always seek to ensure compliance with local labor, health and safety legislation and to live up to internationally recognized human rigths standards.

In order to meet our objectives we:

  • Continously work to improve our safety procedures and our internal awareness so that we can minimize work-related accidents and illnesses.
  • Respect and comply with international stardards for labor conditions, human rights, health and safety. We strive to prevent accidents and working hazards in our daily operations.
  • Do not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment. We work to ensure an inclusive, open, good and respectful working environment

Supply chain management policy

We strive to only do business with honest and responsible suppliers who adhere to applicable laws and regulations in the countries they operate in, treat their employees with dignity and respect and manage their production in an environmentally responsible way. Our suppliers should convey similar expectations towards their suppliers.

In order to meet our objectives we:

  • Strive to maintain close relations with our suppliers (of raw materials etc), characterized by clear expectations, trust and an open dialogue.
  • Work towards proactively impacting and collaborating with our suppliers in order to ensure their compliance with internationally recognized principles for Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

Anti-corruption policy
- we take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption

A bribe is an enducement or reward offered, promised or provided in order to gain any commercial, contractual, regulatory or personal advantage. We work to ensure that our business operations are conducted in an ethical and lawful manner. We see ourselves as a company with high ethical and moral standards and we act accordingly.

In order to meet our objectives we:

  • Conduct our business in a lawful manner in compliance with anti-trust laws.
  • Do not use facility payments.
  • Do not use gifts, representations and sponsorships to execute unfair influence on partners and customers.
  • Do not let our employees take decisions bases on the receipt of gifts or similar from our partners and customers.
  • Continually provide employees with the proper information and guidance to help them make the right decisions.
  • Are prepared to act firmly if any breach of our policy should occur.

Community engagement policy
- we seek to contribute to the local communities in which we are present

We take the safety, well-being and human rights of the local communities very seriously. We are aware that changes in our business may not only affect TripleNine but also the local communities and the environment.

We are aware of our role as an important employer and tax base across the locations where we operate, and we maintain a good and constructive dialogue with the local authorities.

In order to meet our objectives we:

  • Listen to our neighbors and we engage in dialogue with our local stakeholders.
  • Pay taxes according to the national and local regulations.
