Two silos in use

The first two of a total of six new raw material silos at the Thyborøn factory are now in use.

This information is provided by Production Manager Lars Skøtt Nielsen.

He is pleased that the work has progressed according to the agreed timetable, partly because the weather was favourable during the construction period.

The current screw conveyor system for transporting the raw material from the silos to production will also be replaced by a more expedient suction system.

That work is also underway and currently an alternative transport system is used in parallel with the existing one.

Lars Skøtt Nielsen adds that both the new transport system and the final four silos will be in place in February/March, so that everything is ready for the 2012 sand eel season.
