Indian summer for sand eel season

In November, the Thyborøn factory has been very busy, almost like a ground swell after the sand eel season.

- The fish is flooding in, almost to the same extent as during the sand eel season, says Production Manager Lars Skøtt Nielsen. - However, now it is sprat which is being landed in large volumes, resulting in good, positive activity.

- However, at the same time, it presents us with a major challenge as we are in the middle of the winter maintenance of the entire production system, Lars Skøtt Nielsen adds.

He also mentions that a new roof has been laid over the smithy, so that the smiths in future will be able to go about their work without getting wet!
