A good year for industrial fishing

This was sorely needed, concludes Erik Bonde Pedersen, Chairman of the Board of TripleNine.

- Sand eel fishing has been good and Norway spout fishing has also been fine, even though the quota is tight and has almost been fished now. Together with the sprat fishing, they have produced a good overall flow in the fishing, which has benefited both the fishermen and the factory, says Erik Bonde Pedersen.

- Approx. 40,000 tons of sprat remains of the quota and they need to be fished before Christmas, as sprat in theory cease to exist afterwards!

- Taking into account that sensible prices have been paid for the catches throughout the year, it has been a good year for industrial fishing, but then, this was sorely needed, concludes Erik Bonde Pedersen.
